Feasibility Record

Every retargeted clip

What a robot could not do with this clip, and why — kept, not discarded.

Every retargeted trajectory is replayed in simulation before delivery. Most suppliers use that step as a filter and ship what survives. MOVAS keeps both halves: the trajectories that passed, and a structured record of the ones that did not — which end effector, which clip, which reason.

Rejection reasons are drawn from a closed vocabulary: aperture, clearance, geometry, grasp, scale, deformable. Across five reference end effectors, one clip produces up to five outcomes, so the record grows five times faster than the corpus itself.

The retargeting algorithms are public methods and we make no proprietary claim on them. The accumulated record of what proved infeasible, across embodiments and customers, is not reproducible from public sources — it only exists because the replays were run and kept.

FAQ

Feasibility Record — Common Questions

Because a policy that has only seen feasible trajectories has no signal about where the feasible region ends. The record tells you which manipulations your embodiment cannot perform from human demonstration, before you spend a training run discovering it.

No. Failure-and-recovery segments are human failures captured on camera — the operator drops something and recovers. The feasibility record is a machine outcome: the human succeeded, but the retargeted trajectory could not be executed by a given end effector.

Yes. The record is a structured table and can be licensed separately from the video, which is the usual route for teams sizing an embodiment before committing to a corpus.
